Ace Handyman Services
A 400+ location brand, owned by Ace Hardware. We built Instant Estimator with 15 of its franchisees. It is now available to all 400 Ace offices, and AVA answers phones across offices.
The brand
Ace Handyman Services has more than 400 territories across the country, owned by Ace Hardware.
Each one is run by a franchisee with a small office and a busy phone.
The problem
Writing up an estimate took hours. While it sat in a truck or an inbox, the customer was calling someone else.
Calls went to voicemail when the office was busy. Each one was a customer who might not call back.
What we built together
We worked with 15 Ace franchisees, and the corporate team that owns the brand standard, to build Instant Estimator around the way Ace really works. A site visit becomes a clear, itemized estimate in seconds, priced by Ace rules. It connects to Jobber, with ServiceTitan on the way.
Then AVA, the AI Voice Agent, started answering phones across offices. Every call picked up, the customer booked, and a note sent to the team.
The results
Instant Estimator is now available to all 400 Ace offices. An office using it saves about 36 hours of write-up time for every 50 estimates.
With AVA, 100% of calls get answered, and offices book 40% more customers than they did with voicemail.
Why it worked
Corporate shaped the standard. Franchisees shaped the workflow. Both sides built it, so the network used it instead of putting up with it.
